Are Cartoons Raising Your Kids?

I think back to Saturday mornings as a child and one thing comes to mind, cartoons. Every Saturday I would get up beaming with excitement because I knew that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would be on. It was the highlight of my week because it was the only time frame on TV allotted for cartoons. Then came the biggest change to children's television ever, dedicated cartoon channels. All of a sudden Saturday morning lost it's zeal while cartoons became a simple push of the remote 24/7.

Somewhere it all went wrong. The convenience became a necessity and now children spend their lives in front of the television. The shows we watched have been replaced with visions that a much more racy. The networks are trying to pass off adult themes as child friendly cartoons. WHat are we doing to combat it?
